Welcome to my first blog. Most of you know me from Twitter as a Triangle Investor/@capnek123 or uranium bull from Croatia.
Before telling you more about this blog and my weekly newsletter please allow me a brief introduction. My real name is Lucijan (Italians would say Luciano or Americans Lucius), 43-year-old Croatian. My professional background is mostly related with real-estate business (residental project development, mediation, legal affairs). Married, one kid and one dog.
So, let's get to work. What is the point of this blog and what can I offer the reader of this blog and the newsletter that I plan to publish once a week? This blog is intended primarily for educational purposes and for entertainment (read the disclaimer at the end of the text). My beginnings as a stock market speculator began in the mid-00s when I was "sucked" into the trade. Through that (almost) twenty-year process I have been through various market conditions with a lot of "lesson learned". I am by nature contrarian, I love the unloved things, commodities or stocks, buying them when they are unloved/unpopular and selling them when they are loved/popular. That is an area where my experience with buying (low) / selling (high) real-estate shaped me.
My belief is that some 80% of people does not make any money on stock market since they are investing on their herd instinct.
Herd instinct is a behaviour where people join groups and/or follow the actions of others. I love to consider myself at the other side of that, the other 20% of people, and that is how I am (trying to) playing the markets. One of the best contrarians and a person who has a very similar investing style is Rick Rule. I am not comparing myself with Rick buy just emphasizing the similarity of investing/trading style.
I believe this blog will be an interest read to everyone, especially if I can help newcomers to the resource investing as well to some less experienced investors. Trough my years of speculating I have had the pleasure of personally meet many known and influential people from various industries and companies, especially uranium and precious metals.
My first bull market was uranium bull market in 2007 and the first stock I bought at the time was the stock of Denison Mines $dnn $dml, the company which was engaged in the production of uranium at the time. Today, over 15 years later, it is uranium that makes over 70% of my portfolio and the commodity on which I am most bullish.
The other 30% of my portfolio includes gold, silver, copper and some smaller positions in lithium, oil and platinum. But let's go back to uranium. Uranium will be the main focus of my blog and weekly newsletter. The content of the blog will be a review of daily events around the mentioned industries as well as news about the companies. The weekly newsletter will have an expanded content of reviews about weekly events, analysis of selected companies, a section with technical analysis of companies and commodities, insights and lot more interesting things. Over time, the plan is to expand the content on my website with videos with interesting guests, primarily company CEOs, experienced geologists, uranium, gold, silver and copper knowledgeable people.
This is enough for the introduction, tommorow we we will discouse more uranium, gold and silver and less me.
